The past week has been a landmark period for the PCSO, marked by a major price adjustment, a surge in minimum jackpot prizes, and a significant milestone in international regulatory compliance.

1. Major Policy: Price Hike and Jackpot Increase (Effective Feb 1)

This is the most impactful change for bettors. Starting February 1, 2026, the price per bet for all jackpot-bearing games has increased from ₱20 to ₱25.

To compensate for the price increase, the PCSO has significantly raised the minimum starting jackpots for all major games:

  • Lotto 6/42: Raised to ₱10 Million (from ₱6M).
  • Mega Lotto 6/45: Raised to ₱15 Million (from ₱9M).
  • Super Lotto 6/49: Raised to ₱25 Million (from ₱16M).
  • Grand Lotto 6/55: Raised to ₱45 Million (from ₱30M).
  • Ultra Lotto 6/58: Raised to ₱75 Million (from ₱50M).

2. Achievement: World Lottery Association (WLA) Level 3 Certification

On February 2, 2026, the PCSO announced it had officially achieved Level 3 Accreditation for the Responsible Gaming Framework from the World Lottery Association (WLA).

Significance: This certification confirms that PCSO’s operations meet world-class standards in responsible gaming management, addiction prevention, and social responsibility. This is the first time a Philippine gaming agency has reached this level of international recognition.

3. Social Mission: Medical Equipment and Mandated Contributions

The PCSO continued its charitable efforts through several key deliveries this week:

  • Jan 26: Delivered medical equipment to the Island Garden City of Samal (IGACOS), Davao.
  • Recent: Handed over medical aid packages, including ambulances, hygiene kits, and safety kits, to the province of Batangas.
  • Jan 23: Transferred over ₱26.53 Million in mandatory contributions to the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), the National Council on Disability Affairs (NCDA), and the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC).

4. Jackpot Winners This Week

  • Jan 31: Two lucky winners were recorded. One bettor won approximately ₱51.79 Million via the Grand Lotto 6/55, while another won roughly ₱5.94 Million in the Lotto 6/42.
